Our new construction project is located in a prominent location at the intersection of Wittenberginkatu and Kevätkummuntie roads, close to city centre and Tarmola services as well as good transport connections. The Vaskenvalajankatu development consists of four residential buildings, which will include 122 rental apartments. The property is expected to be completed in early 2026 and is part of Porvoo's new, modern cityscape. Vaskenvalajankatu is a state-subsidised rental property with 76 regular rental apartments, 31 senior apartments (for 55+ inhabitants) and 15 assisted living apartments. The apartment types range from studios to 4-room apartments and from 30 to 73.5 m² in size. The development will also include building saunas, and common areas. The yard area will feature a playground and pleasant recreational and walking spaces with paving and plantings. A parking area will also be built on the plot. Residential safety is enhanced by an automatic fire and sprinkler system, and water-circulating underfloor heating and shared ventilation with cooling increase the comfort level. All the apartments are accessible. In addition to geothermal heating, the property will be connected to the district heating network. The property has a broadband cable TV system. The balconies are glazed. The property is completely smoke-free, which means that smoking is prohibited in the yard area and on balconies. Pets are welcome. The application period for these apartments starts on April 14th 2025 and ends on April 27th 2025. After this, applications for the location will be received on an on-going basis. We will be in contact with the recipients of the housing offer later than 30 August 2025. Resident selection will be carried out according to the VARKE (Centre for State-subsidised Housing Construction) resident selection guidelines. Our aim is to offer apartments to those most in need, taking into account people with the most urgent need for housing, the lowest income, and the least amount of wealth.
